VetCare Internal Medicine Specialists – we’re not your regular veterinary practice!
We don’t give vaccines, perform spays or neuters, or perform general wellness exams. Just as your family physician might refer you to a specialist for a complicated medical problem, your family veterinarian might refer you to a veterinary specialists if your cat or dog has a complicated medical problem or serious illness. Types of cases referred to veterinary internal medicine specialists are listed above. If your pet needs routine medical care, contact your family veterinarian. If your pet has a problem requiring additional diagnostics or treatment, ask your family veterinarian if referral to an internal medicine specialist is appropriate.
Accreditation matters to you and your pet. As the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada, the American Animal Hospital Association sets the standard for quality veterinary care. Learn more about the AAHA standard of care HERE.
